Here is a pretty cool video of a Guy surfing near the cliffs of Moher ( or near Miami, aren’t they all the one). Surfing has really taken off in Ireland and though this video is a piss-take, there are many nice surfing beaches to be found. BE WARNED - even in summer, the water is very, very cold.

The Mayo Gay scene is basically a non-go zone. There is not any openly gay bars until one hits Galway City, which is possibly the best place to go. In Swinford there is a gay friendly bar called DeRoiste Bar (Gay-friendly) Main St, Swinford, Co Mayo. It is a Lesbian-owned bar now holding gay nights every Thursday night. 7pm til close.
